Please give us a short summary of your website?

Full range of Mobile Smart Repair services throughout Malta - colour matched stone chip and cracked, scuffed or scratched bumper repairs. Alloy Wheel Repair and Refurbishment.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

To promote my business by to be able to use the services of directories such as yours and also Google Adwords. Online advertising is a must.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

www.subzeroautomotive.com was launched in 2005 and is solely for the sale of automotive lighting. The main market is the UK but items are also shipped to other EU countieres.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Asking for suggestions, making list of names and slogans. This was narrowed down until the final name was decided upon Auto Pro - The Car Care People.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

Small repairs, convenient service at the customer's location, which is not widely available in Malta for this sector in the automotive market. This is more my business and not the website being different.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

At present I am only concerned with making a living but if the business was sold then the website would form part of the deal

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

ADT registration tax

What has been your biggest challenge?

Moving to a new country (Malta) and setting up business from scratch without having any contacts. Having to get up and running as soon as possible while arranging tax, NI, residency, registration, etc. when not having a clue where to go (but you learn fast)

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Using the correct basic SEO techniques and keyword selection when exchanging links and submitting to directories

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Not much. Once the site is up and running then it's pretty straightforward. It's always a good idea to learn basic HTML (I knew absolutely none when I first started) as this makes it quick and easy to add links and make minor changes.
