An article in Business Week says rubber's value may drop because of strong dollar and the recent recall of about 300,000 Prius hybrids cars globally. The rubbers commodity in Japan has already lost 12 percent of its value from its peak this year which is around $3,424 per metric ton last Jan 15. Ninety percent of natural rubbers is used to make vehicle tire vehicle.
