I just need to get this off my chest. I went to the gas station the other day and guess how much money it took to fill up my Cavalier? $22.72 was the price I paid and you bet I was thrilled. You know what this means though? This could be the sole factor for many people on what they do this Holiday season. You want to drive to the grandparents' house for Thanksgiving, but their house is 3 hours away? Well, with the gas prices dipping below two dollars, that trip seems all the more reasonable. Many people speculated that the price of gas was only going down because of the election. But those people also thought it would sky rocket back up after the whole ordeal. Never could anyone have seen that gas is below $2 right now. Maybe times are getting better for all of us.

Just I couple reminders I would like to mention to all readers before the snow season comes in full effect. Now is a good time to do a couple routine safety checks on your car. You should buy some new windshield wiper blades that are specialized for ice and snow. Make sure your washer fluid reservoir is full. If you prefer washer fluid that is made for ice and snow, put it in. Also a thing you need to remember in the freezing temperatures. Never keep your car will very little gas. If you do the pipes can freeze. Check your heat to make sure your thermostat is working correctly. Always give yourself enough time to get to work and school to avoid a rush on the icy roads.

It's worse than what the people from Wall Street expected. GM actually lost $4.2 billion last third quarter. Without government or any other kind of intervention, the company may end up getting bankrupt.Dropping customer sales amid a credit crunch is pointed as the reason for the large loss. This might put the possible Chrysler acquisition at the backseat. Link: GM's Crippling Burn Rate - BusinessWeek
