It may be bitter, but it will certainly contribute to the healing of the American automobile industry. This is what can be said about Obama's orders towards putting up stricter emission on requirements on manufactured cars. US automakers have long resisted emission requirements by individual states, backed up by pressure coming from the Bush administration. Now, the states seem to have the upper hand now that President Obama himself instructed institutions concerned to enfore stricter rules. Some people drive without auto insurance thinking they will never get caught without it. Maybe they think they drive safe enough to never get in an accident. Having auto insurance is very important. You could be the safest driver out there and still get into an accident. I was one of those people. I didn't get into an accident or have anything happen to my car. I was pulled over at a routine traffic checkpoint. I didn't have any points agaisnt my license or anything. The officer asked for my insurance card and I said I didn't have it in the car. The officer gave me a ticket to go to court for not having insurance. When I went to court the judge asked if I had proof of insurance for when I was pulled over. When I said no the judge suspended my license for 3 months! Driving without insurance is stupid in so many ways. I know I learned my lesson. Not only did I lose my license for 3 months, but when I got it back I had to carry an SR22 bonded insurance!

Italian auto maker Fiat is still in talks with struggling US auto maker Chrysler in a deal that is seen to be beneficial for the Italian car maker.Under the proposed deal, Fiat will have a 35% company share in Chrysler in exchange of allowing the latter to access the former's fuel efficient platforms and sales to markets outside the United States. This is largely seen to be a good deal for Fiat since this will allow the company to enter the US market, still the world's largest despite the recession. The other way we got some really snow. After we got slammed with snow we had some freezing rain on top of it. As you know, that makes for some really slippery roads. The driveway at work was solid ice. There was a very thin layer of snow over the ice so it was kinda hard to tell it was icy.
