Chevy Muscle Car Parts is the Leader in Classic Chevy restoration parts. We have thousands of parts listed for every model. You will be sure to find whatever hard to find Classic Chevy part right here at unbelievable prices.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I was inspired to launch this site because I wanted to give people the opportunity to save alot of money when restoring classic automobiles.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I launched the 1st site in January 2008. The 1st site launched was www.chevymusclecarparts.com
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I named the site after the world famous Chevy Muscle Car.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
This site is different from others because it eliminates the "middle man." Customers can come to this site and bid on the parts they are looking for, giving them an even better way to save. All parts sold on the site are by an individual, rather than some large company.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
My goal is to keep this site. It provides its customers with great value.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
The site is very successful. Worth every hour spent developing it.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would definitely try and advertise it more.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
That is the easiest part! Everything listed on the site is sold by an individual, so its more of a customer owner relationship. Each product listed is sold by the current owner of the product at an online auction.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
The most unexpected costs were advertising and article content.
What has been your biggest challenge?
The biggest challenge is finding the time to complete the site
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
The most successful seems to be article writing and submitting them to the major directories on the internet.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I am actually seeing all of my expected results, in fact, the site is performin better that I had origninally thought it would.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I have had the site about 6 months now, and plan to keep it as long as I possibly can.
Do you plan to build more sites?
Yes, I plan to build about 30 more sites.
