BMW is once again planning to development a multifunction smart key which will contains a security chip that can be accessed by a card reader over short distances that can be use for electronic payments.

The car key fob could also carry an owners preferred setting from car to car, personalized to their ConnectedDrive preferences just like a dongle. This option will be available in any BMW out.

BMW Product Browser with Microsoft Surface Interface

BMW will is the first car maker worldwide that will implement and use the new Microsoft Surface interface. They'll be using the touchscreen technology to show they prostpect consumer the most realistic specification of a car through their product navigator.

Microsof Surface is a technology and software combined to enable user to manipulate digital content through touch, hand gesture of even with physical object. The first and good corporate application of which is with BMW's product browser.
