The governments of Canada and Ontario may contribute around C$13 billion (US$11.6 billion) in bailout funds to troubled automakers General Motors Corp. and Chrysler LLC.
Of this amount, C$10 billion may be used to bailout General Motors Corp., triple of that of the original amount pledged last December. The governments may also provide up to C$3.8 billion in loans to Chrysler Canada.
